DJ Smu aka The Editor is back with another one of his creations. This time he combined Freddie Gibbs and Kendrick’s No More Parties in L.A. verses into one track for your audible pleasure. You can peep that below. You can thank him here—–> @DJSmu
Germany’s own DJ Smu is back with another set of amazing Hip Hop blends! This time he has added verses from Nas, Biggie, KRS-ONE and Jay Electronica to Royce and Premier’s PRhyme album. Like Joell Ortiz says….”That sounds good right there”. Enjoy.

Prhyme was one of my favorite Albums last year (next to MadGibbs’ Pinata LP) and a lot of the tracks were in heavy rotation.
“Courtesy” was one of the few tracks I rewinded a lot of times just for the instrumental alone (you can’t deny that it has a special sound with Adrian Younge’s Organ Music to it) and thought like “the original is dope but how can I switch it up a bit?”
So I went through my mind who would fit on dope Premo Beats and Nas was one of the first people I could think of so I decided to take his Premo collabo “NY State of Mind Pt.2” and add his verse to the already great Joint.
The outcome can be heard below.
Sidenote: The Artwork that you see on this post was made by me,hope y’all enjoy it just as much as the Blend.
Nas over Dilla beats, a fly soliloquy! True indeed……I just wish Nas would have made this happen when Jay Dee was alive. Luckily for us DJ Smu added the Jay Electronica version to it and gives us the ultimate Halloween treat!
In the past 4-5 weeks Joe Budden has released a couple of tracks to build some hype for the release of his upcoming “Some Love Lost” EP.
All the Tracks that are featured on this release will not appear on the new project!
This EP contains all the released Tracks with features from the likes of Ransom,Crooked I and a few more, the production is handled by DJ Pain1,8Bars,Darknight and Ryan Ryu.
I’ve been a fan of Smu mixes for years now. Here are some goodies he dropped via twitter.
Well this is it people! The wait is finally over.
Here’s my latest exclusive Mixtape for the Boro!
It’s been a long process but well worth the effort called Represent.
The reason I called it represent is because it represents me as an artist and music lover and how I feel about music. The Remixes also represent Songs in different Versions and how I wanted to hear them.
Representing my love for the culture.
At first I was a bit worried about pushing it back but eventually I got all the tracks together in time.
You can bump this tape in your ride, home stereo or whatever. I can promise you this: it’s got a great vibe!
Round 2 will be ready for the Summer time, just so you know!
Here’s the tracklist and the Download link:
Since the beginning of this month I’ve been working on an exclusive Mixtape for this Site (most likely) titled “March Madness”.So far I’ve managed to create about 3 Joints for the project and this is one of them.
I originally planned to drop it on Valentine’s Day but thought that it fits on any other day too.
I’ve been wanting to remix this Track since I first heard it on Fabolous “Soul Tape 3” as i thought it was missing something.
So i decided to add some more New York Flavour in the form of Mr. Talib Kweli to the Joint.
If you heard this verse before then your ears aren’t fooling you as it’s his first Verse from “Come Here” (featuring Miguel).
The download is on the House, enjoy!
To celebrate the anniversary of Black Moon’s classic “enta da stage” LP, I decided to mash together Eminem’s recent freestyle (over their classic beat) with the original.
Hip Hop in it’s purest form!
As you probably remember I kinda had this Hip Hop Art thing going on and posted a picture of Kendrick Lamar back in February. Since then I never got around to post new one’s yet. So i figured now is the time to update y’all on one of my latest pieces.
As you can tell from the headline it’s none other than Just Blaze. One of my favourite Producers!
I used 5 different Pencils for this one. If y’all like this i’ll have more to come very soon and try to make it a regular series on here.
Who’s up next? Well i don’t want to spoil the surprise so I keep y’all guessing.
Let me know what you think about this one though.
Shout out to Just !
Over a smooth Jake One beat.
OR, if you not feeling the second verse, DJ Smu does his thing with a Wale-less version.
Here’s a little something i created the other day. It’s one of my favourite Joe Budden records that he’s released so far. I stumbled across the acapella and thought i should give this Track a different sound so i experimented with Instrumentals (Mocking Bird,Ready To Die and more) till I decided to stick with Hov’s “Lost One” beat. It’s very fitting to the topic and mood of the Song.
