We all have our own personal demons and struggles to deal with. While many fall down and call it quits, a rare few refuse to back down. From the pressure that many of us face from the outside world either comes a failed effort, or a masterpiece in the making; fortunately for Brooklyn spitters, Shabaam Sahdeeq and Skeezo, it’s the latter, as they connect with the Japanese beatsmith, mammon corleone on “Beautiful Struggle.”

The single, which serves as the sole lyric track on maemon’s instrumental album, 6750, fuses his own culture and sound with the influence of his predecessors, such as J Dilla, RZA, Pete Rock, and Apollo Brown, to name a few. Whereas the “Five Star Generals” spitter reflects on his reckless, yet liberated youth, and those that have helped elevate him to higher ground, Skeezo speaks on the building pressures of trying to make it out alive. Grown man rap aside, corleone’s triumphant production showcases the sound of a rather promising producer on the rise.
