One of the benefits of writing for a Hip Hop blog is that you get tons of music sent to you via email. Most of the music isn’t really that great but once in a while I will get an email that really impresses me. This is how I felt when I opened an email from Die-Rek.
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Die-Rek has a style reminiscent of that 90’s flavor that we at the 7th Boro appreciate so much. At the same time, his flow is modern and very well delivered. After watching the video for “Remember”, I knew I had to hear more form the Canadian MC. I found his bandcamp page and downloaded the “Die-Version Project” and I was REALLY impressed. Those of you who visit 7th Boro often know that we do not post nonsense! Check this album out, you will not be disappointed. It’s also FREE.
