Talib Kweli ft. (Anderson .Paak & Kaytranada) – Traveling Light

I can’t believe it’s been near two decades since I purchased my first Talib album. Seem like yesterday that I popped open that Black Star album and was blown away by a Brooklyn MC named Talib Kweli. Fast forward twenty years and Talib’s lyrical swords are sharper than ever. He’s releasing a new album titled, “Radio Silence” which is set to drop November 17th. You can preorder that here.

This track features Anderson .Paak and Kaytranada and it is something special. Don’t take my word for it….listen for yourself.

Rasheed Chappell ft. Smoovth – Glory Days (Prod. By Eyedee)

Rasheed Chappell and Smoovth showed love to the 7th Boro and blessed us with this exclusive joint! The first question I asked Rasheed when he sent this over was, “Is this on your new album?”. The answer is to that question is no. This makes me pretty hype though. If this banger is not on the album and he dropped it as a gift for the people…..imagine the heat he has in store for us when his new album drops.

I don’t have many details on that but I assure you it’s going to be dope. In the meantime, enjoy this Eyedee produced gem titled, “Glory Days”.

Royce da 5’9″ & Black Thought – Verses: Nickel For Your Thoughts

This here is an ill collection of two of the nicest MCs to ever clutch the microphone, Black Thought and Royce da 5’9″. These two have blessed us with amazing verses for over two decades and Mills (Cofounder of the 7th Boro) has brought us this masterpiece to enjoy. Who do you all feel is the better MC? I’m going with Black Thought on this one. Refer to those two Statik songs that feature Royce and Black Thought and you be the judge. They’re both legends in my eyes though. Hit us up and let us know your thoughts. Bless.

*side note – Peep the tracklist order…..clever….very clever.

Marshall & The Soul Brother (Eminem and Pete Rock)

Peep this mashup of legendary hip-hop producer Pete Rock with the illustrious lyricist Eminem. David Begun has layered Eminem’s lyrics over the beats from the Petestrumentals album and mixing in various Pete Rock original samples and scratches to form a picture of what Eminem would have sounded like over one of the most acclaimed producers of hip-hop music in the 90’s.
