Last night DJ Stretch Armstrong and DJ Bobbito Garcia celebrated the 20th anniversary of their self titled radio show in NYC. Mills and I were fortunate enough to be in the building and witness history. Anyone who loves Hip Hop knows the importance of these two DJs and what they did for Hip Hop. Stretch and Bob gave numerous artists a platform to be heard when no one else would. Many of the Hip Hop legends we speak of today started off on this legendary show. Nas, Jay Z, Big L and many other great MCs.

I will not try to capture last night’s magic and put it into words. I will tell you that Hip Hop was in the building. I felt as if I was amongst family in that crowd because everyone in attendance was a true Hip Hop head. When you look around and see people rapping the lyrics to every record played, you have no choice but to feel the energy. When you are giving complete strangers dap because you’re so hype about a track…..THAT IS HIP HOP!

Here is some footage from the show last night. If you didn’t make it, you can see it through the eyes of another Hip Hop lover. Bless.
